Alin Barbatei brings over a decade of cybersecurity expertise spanning Web2 and Web3. He has audited smart contracts securing over $1B in TVL across EVM and Bitcoin L2 ecosystems, including Stacks (Clarity), uncovering hundreds of vulnerabilities through independent and collaborative engagements.
A former Security Researcher and Team Lead at Bitdefender's Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab, he spent over eight years reverse-engineering malware, publishing research, and driving industry-leading detection benchmarks. This foundation shaped his adversarial, protocol-level approach to blockchain security.
He has collaborated with top-tier security firms, including Guardian Audits and Clarity Alliance, placing first in multiple audit contests and contributing to high-impact security research.
